About SKM Tours
SKM Tours is a UK-based safari company built from a genuine love for Tanzania, its incredible wildlife, beautiful landscapes, vibrant culture and, most importantly, its people.
I first began travelling to Tanzania in 2019, and what started as a love for the country quickly became something much deeper. Over the years, I have developed a strong connection with Tanzania and its communities, and I wanted to create a safari company that allows others to experience this incredible country in a meaningful and responsible way.
As a UK-qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), animal welfare and conservation are particularly close to my heart. I believe that wildlife tourism should always put the wellbeing of animals and the protection of their natural habitats first. This is why SKM Tours is committed to ethical and responsible travel, working with partners who share our values and avoiding tourism practices that can negatively impact wildlife or local communities.
We work closely with trusted Tanzanian guides and local businesses to create high-quality, personalised safaris tailored around the individual needs, interests and dreams of our clients. We believe that the people who know Tanzania best are the people who live and work here, and we are proud to support local Tanzanian expertise, employment and businesses wherever possible.
Our commitment to Tanzania also extends beyond tourism. Alongside SKM Tours, I volunteer with local charities and community initiatives in Tanzania, supporting projects that make a positive difference to people and animals. SKM Tours is proud to support this work and contribute towards initiatives that benefit the communities and wildlife that make Tanzania so special.
For us, a safari is about more than simply seeing the Big Five. It is about experiencing Tanzania responsibly, meeting its people, understanding its culture, appreciating its wildlife and leaving with memories that last a lifetime.
Travel responsibly. Experience authentically. Leave a positive footprint.
